100s daily is extreme, I get it you are trying to make a point.

 Half of the recently reported SA on women weren't rape once they were interviewed.

Also, you must be under a rock if you never notice news of SA on women in news outlets, mostly daily even back in the previous regime and before. And that's with media under their complete control.

However, there definitely seems to be an extra effort in the last week to make the situation very bad as if they are coordinated in another effort to destabilize the current government. 

I am sincerely trying not to make light of the terrible situation for women, but I think women are smart enough to know this is an  unfortunate common phenomenon across all the countries and especially in poorer countries and they are fighting everyday for their rights and justice.

They have been extremely lenient given their track record. I miss the 1/11 military which literally beat up anyone and everyone who did anything anti social. Criminals were in jail where they belonged and the nation was much safer

Bangladesh as a state has always believed in culture and language over faith. Yes it is an Islamic majority nation but traditionally Durga puja (Hindu) were celebrated with the same fervor as Id and Muharram. 

Pakistan is the exact opposite- that faith and religion trumps everything else. This meant that the ruling class (Punjabi) mocked/crushed anything that wasn’t them (Pashtun, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Balochi and Bengali, until 1971). 

This doesn’t appear to be a match expected to last but truth can be stranger than fiction-and those at the helm (Yunus) can make deals with the devil to keep themselves in power.
